Clark Park – LithoMosaic Installation
A large-scale LithoMosaic installation, seamlessly integrating abstract artistry into a vibrant community park in Tempe, Arizona.
Progressive Hardscapes

Clark Park in Tempe, Arizona, features an intricately designed LithoMosaic® installation, enhancing the visitor experience with a dynamic and engaging entryway. The large-scale mosaic patterns, designed by artist Nicole Mueller, create a sense of movement and direction while complementing the surrounding landscape. This installation was a collaborative effort between Progressive Hardscapes and the City of Tempe.
The LithoMosaic elements were meticulously fabricated over a six-month period in Mueller’s San Francisco studio, using carefully selected materials to achieve precise detailing. The final on-site installation was completed in six days by a team of licensed concrete professionals. The LithoMosaic system allowed for the intricate artistic patterns to be cast within a full-thickness monolithic pour, ensuring both durability and aesthetic harmony with the park environment. The result is a visually captivating and enduring public art piece, reinforcing Tempe’s commitment to integrating art into functional public spaces.
