An award-winning LithoMosaic installation, seamlessly blending artistry and landscape design in the heart of Storza Woods.
T.B. Penick & Sons

The Atlanta Botanical Garden in Storza Woods features an intricately designed LithoMosaic walkway, enhancing the visitor experience with botanical-inspired artistry. The sinuous concrete pathway winds through a 4-acre mature woodland, embedding stunning LithoMosaic artwork that mimics the organic patterns found in plant morphology. This award-winning installation was a collaborative effort between T.B. Penick & Sons and the Garden’s Landscape Design and Planning Manager, who conceptualized the unique stone compositions.
The LithoMosaic elements were meticulously fabricated by Amanda Elizabeth Mosaics, utilizing hand-selected natural rocks, pebbles, and aggregates sourced globally. The result is a visually captivating, monolithic mosaic surface that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding natural landscape. This project was recognized with the 2018 “Best Overall Project WOW! Award” from the Decorative Concrete Council of the American Society of Concrete Contractors, a testament to its technical excellence and artistic impact. The LithoMosaic system allowed for the large-scale artistic expression to be cast within a full-thickness monolithic pour, ensuring both durability and aesthetic harmony with the garden’s environment.
